"Since having a family using natural products that are kind and gentle on our bodies and in our home has become an even more important choice I want to know that the products I use have least impact on the earth so that I can feel confident in my families future. Our soaps contain organic and plant based ingredients with no palm oil. There are no synthetic ingredients; the creamy lather is all natural"
Castile soap gently cleans with out toxic sulfates that virtually all other commercial soaps contain. Castile soap is made from safe, simple plant oils and is able to lather naturally with no need to add synthetic ingredients.
These plant oils, especially the olive oil that castile soap is based on, are rich in antioxidants and monounsaturated fatty acids as well as anti-inflammatory compounds such as oleocanthal.
Free from animal fats, castile soap is vegan friendly and environmentally ethical. A good quality castile is an all-around nontoxic soap cleaner that is safe for hands and oily skin, laundry, dishes, pets, floors, walls, windows and even killing garden eating insects.
Castile Soap is 3x more concentrated than most liquid soaps on the market. This means each bottle of our soap goes a lot further than regular soap and less waste in packaging materials.
Castile soap is more watery (non viscous) than regular liquid soaps, which is why our Castile Soap Club nozzle is perfect for using just the right amount of soap.
Castile soap can be used (but is not limited) for the following applications:
Castile soap is named after the Spanish territory of Castile, where it became famous for their large scale production of soap using olives.
Castile soap bars were exported to numerous countries in Europe for hundreds of years.
Although the Crown of Castile was not the only producer of this type of soap, it was its producer for excellence.
Overall, Castile soap is a versatile and mild option for a variety of skin types, but, like with any product, individual reactions can vary. If you're unsure, it’s always a good idea to do a patch test or consult with a dermatologist.
Remember to always dilute as instructed!
Soaps have been made for thousands of years . Alongside making fire and cooking food, turning oils and fats into soap is one of the oldest and simplest forms of alchemy.
Soap is made by saponifying (heating) a vegetable oil with an alkali such as lye or potash. The result of saponification is soap, glycerin and water (no alkali is left).
Once the soap has been created essential oild can be added to achievethe desired scent.
When you first receive your bottle unscrew the cap and remove the seal that we add for freshness and transportation then screw the cap back on.
When you want to use the soap twist up the cap, tilt the bottle to 45 degrees and give a gentle squeeze. When done twist the cap back down to keep your soap safe and fresh.
Our soap lasts a long time so every so often it is helpful to take off the cap and wash it with warm water.
